GTA 6 PC Version — What Rockstar Has Actually Said (And What to Realistically Expect)

Source transparency: All information on GTA 6 Vault is sourced from Rockstar's official trailers, press releases, and Take-Two investor communications. Sections that go beyond confirmed facts are clearly labelled as our own analysis.

Current Status: No Official PC Announcement

As of writing, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive have not announced a PC version of GTA 6. The game's confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC system requirements, recommended specs, or release window have been published.

Any GTA 6 PC system requirements you see online at this point are estimated or fabricated. We will not list placeholder specs here — we will only publish hardware requirements once Rockstar releases them officially.

What Rockstar and Take-Two Have Actually Said

Rockstar's official GTA 6 announcements and press materials reference only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Take-Two Interactive's investor communications confirm the November 19, 2026 launch on those platforms.

Neither company has confirmed, denied, or mentioned a PC release at any public briefing or in any press release. "Not yet announced" is the accurate way to describe the situation.

What GTA 5's History Suggests

GTA 5 launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013. The PlayStation 4 / Xbox One version arrived in November 2014 — 14 months later. The PC version released in April 2015 — 19 months after the original console launch.

This history makes a PC version of GTA 6 plausible, but history is not announcement. The gap between GTA 5 on console and PC was used to substantially upgrade the game — the PC version included a Director Mode, the Rockstar Editor, and upgraded graphics options not in the console release. If Rockstar follows a similar approach with GTA 6, a PC version would likely arrive as a meaningfully enhanced product rather than a straight port.

What to Realistically Plan For

If you play primarily on PC: GTA 6 is not announced for PC. Until it is, we cannot give you a release date, specs, or pricing. If and when a PC version is officially announced, we will publish a dedicated article immediately.

For console players: GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S at $79.99 Standard / $99.99 Ultimate. That remains the full picture of what Rockstar has officially committed to.
